Transfer Group Acquires PhotoSecure Inc.
May 25, 2007 – Technology Transfer Group a division of Polestar Ltd. has acquired the assets of PhotoSecure Inc. and will form a new company, PhotoSecure DNA Technologies LLC. to continue the business of SmartDyetm from PhotoSecure (patented fluorescence technology from Boston University) and the recently developed joint products with DNA Technologies of Halifax Canada.
Wendell Smith President of TTG announced this consolidation of several excellent technologies in the security printing field. TTG has been consulting with both PhotoSecure and DNA Technologies for several years and helped develop the current product line and the marketing approach – to provide technology support to integrators of security printed labels and marking systems.
PhotoSecure DNA Technologies mission is to make and support the best inks and taggants for the industry. They will test various ink and substrate situations with all of the printing ink technologies as appropriate to the specific case in point.
Recent orders for the SmartDye and DNA taggants have proven that the combination of forensic taggants along with invisible machine readable unique code marks provides the most complete Brand Authentication system – especially as integrated into the trace and track software of the enterprise.
