Wendell M. Smith, born in Brooklyn, NY, schooled New Jersey and at Dartmouth College, B.A. and, M.S. in mechanical engineering.
Founder and President of Polestar Ltd – International Consultants and Investors; actively managing Technology Transfer Group, engaged in licensing and consulting in security printing technologies, and Chairman of DNA Technologies – both divisions of Polestar Ltd. and President of PhotoSecure DNA LLC.
Previous employment; Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford Ct. Development Engineering Group; Barnes Engineering Corporation, Stamford, Ct, Sales Engineer/General Sales Manager, Electro-Optical Equipment; Baldwin-Gegenheimer Corporation, Brooklyn NY; led MBO, IPO, and growth from $2.5 M revenues to $250 M with operations in 5 countries renamed Baldwin Technology Co – Printing Press Controls. Established Polestar Ltd as consultants and investment business.
Acquisitions Mergers and Investments – many acquisitions as part of Baldwin Technology, then and others including Totel Systems, Cognitoy, Impress, PhotoSecure, DNA Technologies, Burleighfield Arts, Susse Fondeur; also, consulting and coordination on several private company transactions.
